 SGI IRIS R4000

I was given this machine by the Aeronautics Department at Imperial College because they were throwing a few of them away.

  • Born: 2002
  • Died: June, 2002
  • Specs: MIPS R4000, No RAM, no graphics card, No disks
  • OS: None

This was not a complete machine because it was missing a graphics card and disks. In fact, it was only a case, CPU board and PSU. I saved the PSU as a spare for my other R4000, I also took the 72Pin FPM RAM for my other R4000. This machine was aquired as spares and was never intended for use. The clips on the SCSI connector were given to stoic-> for use on their JVC vision mixer. I would like to make the case into a cupboard because I am sad like that. :-)
